Joe Myers is an SDC fight choreographer, certified stage combat instructor, and performer based in Virginia who is dedicated to collaboratively furthering the art of stage combat. His love for stage fighting began when he was introduced to the art in 2013, and since that first taste he has excelled as a choreographer and actor combatant alike. In every project that he undertakes, his commitment to safety and storytelling remain at the heart of what he does.
Joe has worked on productions for professional and educational theaters all along the East Coast, including two world premieres at the Contemporary American Theatre Festival and the smash hit A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder at Virginia Repertory Theatre. For three years he was the Teaching Assistant for stage combat and Sophomore movement classes at Virginia Commonwealth University, and he currently teaches at stage combat workshops around the country.
